Xploring Hungary Video: National Memorial Park, Pákozd
The Military Memorial Park Pákozd - National Memorial Site was established in 1951 in the vicinity of the Obelisk erected to commemorate the battle of Pákozd-Sukoró on September 29, 1848, on Mészeg Hill in Pákozd.

The development of the Military Memorial Park began in 2002 with the collaboration of 11 organizations, and it significantly accelerated from 2008 with the support of grants from the European Union.

In its current form, the Memorial Site opened its doors in 2010 with the aim of showcasing the history of the Hungarian Defense Forces established in 1848, the major military events of the past 170 years, and to commemorate the known and unknown heroes of these eras.

If you look around, you will see a wonderful geographical environment situated between Lake Velence and the Velence Mountains, and within it, a beautifully designed park with numerous monuments, exhibition spaces, and interactive opportunities.

Address: 8095 Pákozd, Mészeg-hegy hrsz. 087.
