Ultra-Fast Electric Car Charging Stations Added by Low-Cost Retail Chain in Hungary
Electricity distributor the E.On Hungária Group has opened four ultra-fast electric car charging stations with a capacity of 150kW each in the car park of an Aldi shop in Székesfehérvár, to be followed by others at 14 other locations in Hungary, the retail chain announced on Thursday.

Installing the charging stations is part of a large development project run by E.On in nine countries, financed by the EU’s Connecting Europe Facility 2 programme.

E.On will install similar chargers at Aldi shops in Baja, Cegléd, Debrecen, Érd, Fót, Győr, Kecskemét, Siófok, Szombathely, Törökbálint and Zalaegerszeg, as well as two in Veszprém and a fifth one in Székesfehérvár.

E.On already operates 260 public electric car charging stations in Hungary, 146 of them jointly with Aldi.
