Aldi Hungary Withdraws 12,000 Litres of Milk
Aldi is withdrawing more than 12,000 litres of milk, which causes a burning sensation and diarrhoea, the retail chain announced.

Food chain safety authority Nébih said Aldi has begun an investigation into its own-brand, 1 litre, 1.5% ESL milk, which has a best-before date of September 1, 2023.

Aldi shoppers in Piliscsaba bought 12,408 litres of the tainted batch after it was delivered on July 25 by the Tolnatej dairy, Napi reports.

Aldi said it has taken all necessary measures, withdrawn the affected batch from the market, and began a thorough investigation into the matter, including laboratory tests.

The producer, Tolnatej has also started an investigation into the incident.

Consumers should note that the product from the batch indicated will be taken back by the stores.
