Watch: Europe’s Largest Fireworks Display Held in Budapest for Hungary's Birthday
A breathtaking spectacle crowned this year's St Stephen’s Day celebrations in Budapest. The most complex fireworks show ever, featuring 34,000 pyrotechnic effects, grandiose light and laser displays, building projections, a fiery flower carpet on the waters of the Danube, and almost 900 drones, made it unforgettable.

See the video below for the entire production!

From 230 launch points, including seven floating barges and 65 fixed locations, a total of 34,000 rockets were launched into the sky between Margaret and Petőfi Bridgse, as well as over Liberty and Elizabeth Bridges. A floating carpet of Bengal fires and laser shows covered the Danube.

Through the Fire & Lights Show, the pivotal historical events and genesis of Hungary came to life, centred around the defining historical moment when King Stephen offered the Holy Crown and Hungary to the Virgin Mary.

Europe’s largest fireworks display was conceived by the award-winning Anikó Seres, along with Árpád Iványi and Barnabás Réti. The musical accompaniment was by Norbert Elek.
