Investigation Initiated Into Institutions For Special Needs Children in Hungary
Teachers’ union PSZ on Monday said it has initiated an investigation by the ombudsman in institutions for children with special educational needs over the conditions at the institutions in the interest of protecting the rights of children.

PSZ cited reports and complaints received over poor conditions and the lack of amenities in the buildings, staff untrained to teach children, a shortage of specialised teachers, doctors, assistants, nurses and physiotherapists.

The union has asked Ombudsman Ákos Kozma to conduct an onsite investigation of those circumstances as well as into the inventory of special devices required for the education of children, it said in a statement.
