Beartooth & While: 'She Sleeps', Barba Negra Budapest, 15 August
Expect huge outdoor mosh pits and circle pits from the west as Beartooth and While She Sleeps return to Budapest this summer on 15th August, to add to the already hot summer heat at Barba Negra.

August 15 will be a big day for fans of British metalcore and American hardcore punk, as While She Sleeps and Beartooth will take the stage together at Barba Negra.

The former has been here several times, most recently at Budapest Park, so it's time for another outdoor "let my hair down". While She Sleeps have been a stable member of the metalcore scene since their vocalist change in 2009.

Their fifth studio album, Sleep Society, released in 2021, was milked last year with a deluxe edition featuring duets with Deryck Whibley of Sum41, Rou Reynolds of Enter Shikari and Simon Neill of Biffy Clyro, proving that the genre should not only be thought of as underground layer music, but also has a place in the more popular circles. And how!

There's no shortage of mainstream collaborations for Beartooth either, with the guys recently collaborating with Papa Roach on a song called 'Cut The Line', which has been played 2.5 million times on Spotify alone since January.

The Ohio five-piece's music is equal parts screamo, punk, pop- punk and metalcore, striking a fine balance between hard-hitting crush and catchy melodies. Metalheads shouldn't despair, there will be plenty of headbanging and mosh pits to go along with the herd-roaring sentimentality.

The latest Beartooth album is an expanded edition of the previously released Below, featuring live versions of the songs, giving first-timers a real idea of what to expect at the 15 of August event.

Festival season is hotting up in Hungary, so here's a guide to what's worth visiting for a one-off concert or a week long party in the open air. The biggie is always Sziget, this year with Billie Eilish and Sleaford Mods headlining, but it’s worth considering the more niche, boutique bashes like V4, SZIN, Katlan, OZORA, and the cultish Kolorádó in the Buda hills.
