New Survey: Most Hungarians View EU Treatment as '2nd-Class'
More than half of Hungarians, 55%, believe that people from Eastern Europe are treated as second-class citizens within the EU, according to a Závecz Research survey commissioned by RTL.

This view is especially prevalent among those with lower education levels, residing in smaller communities, and older people. More than 70% of Fidesz supporters and less than half of opposition backers share this view.

Moreover, a majority of respondents feel that Hungarian interests are not adequately represented in Brussels and that Western Europeans hold a negative view of Hungarians.

Fidesz voters are more likely to believe this than opposition supporters.
