Magyar to File Police Report on 'Blackmail', Tisza to Expel Vogel
The leadership of the opposition Tisza party has decided to expel Evelin Vogel from the party, and party leader Peter Magyar will file a report with the police alleging blackmail, the party said.

Magyar had known "for days" about "attempts of the state party and [Cabinet Minister] Rogan's propaganda to discredit him" using "illegally obtained and digitally manipulated material", the party said in a statement. "The reason is that the party has a realistic chance of removing the mafia government," they said.

The recording in question "is clearly edited and manipulated, at least one of the sentences is definitely not said by Magyar," the statement said.

Meanwhile, "Vogel should rather tell the press how many tens of millions of forints she has received from Fidesz, and why she's living in an apartment provided by Fidesz deputy leader Gabor Kubatov and [billionaire entrepreneur] Gyorgy Vertan."

Magyar to file complaint against former partner

Peter Magyar, the leader of the opposition Tisza Party, said on Sunday at a press conference that he will file a complaint against his former partner Evelin Vogel as she had made 11 hours of audio recordings in secret and demanded 30 million forints to keep silent.

Magyar also said that he expects the "state party" to launch a discrediting campaign against him next week.

Magyar said recordings obtained illegally, as well as recordings purchased from Vogel or faked with artificial intelligence, will be mixed and published online and there will be attempts to discredit him on a YouTube channel and a Facebook page.

The politician said his former partner had made an agreement with the ruling Fidesz party, handed over audio recordings and tried to blackmail people tied to the Tisza Party.

Magyar said he would file a complaint against Vogel on Monday and hand over evidence to the authorities.
