International Book Festival Moves to Budapest's Whale, Guest Country Revealed
The Budapest International Book Festival will be hosted in the Bálna, a new location on the Pest riverside, on October 2 - 5.

In recent years the Millenáris was the location of the festival where nearly 150 exhibitors were present.

The guest country will be Romania, while the guest artist will be the Danish writer Janne Teller, best known as the author of Nothing.

Teller, who has a degree in economics, has worked in endangered regions as an advisor to the UN and the EU.

Two years ago, she attended the PesText International Literature and Culture Festival and was a guest of the Budapest Book Festival in 2016.
