According to a statement from the university, participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mozambique and the United States, among others, will participate in the two-week intensive course.
The youngest student is 17, the oldest is 73, and the program will become a special meeting point between cultures, ages and personal stories, they wrote.
The aim of this summer university is not only to learn the language, participants can get to know Hungarian culture, while every day is permeated by the experience of learning in and out of the classroom.
The courses are personalized at six language levels, each group works with three teachers, several of whom participated in the development of the teaching materials.
They also mentioned that the backbone of the curriculum is the Hungarian OK textbook family, which follows the model-based teaching methodology and supports live language learning with grammatical rules and cultural dialogue.
The lessons are complemented by cultural programs, thematic city walks, gastronomic evenings are organized, and a phonetics club helps practice, where students can playfully improve their pronunciation.
"The instructors of the PTE summer university see the event as a methodological workshop, where they can try out new teaching techniques with motivated students. The many returning participants prove that the course not only allows you to learn a language, but also to make lifelong friendships, as many return to Pécs as a group of friends," wrote the PTE.
