'Ukrainian War Mafia with a Thousand Links to Zelensky' Revealed, Claims Orbán
- 14 Nov 2025 7:31 AM
Ukraine's energy minister has resigned, and the primary defendant has fled the country, Orbán said.
"Those in Brussels seek to pour European taxpayers' money into that chaos. The money not burnt on the front will be stolen by the war mafia. Madness," the prime minister said.
"We don't want that. Hungarians' money will not be sent to Ukraine. It will be better used at home: just this week we have doubled the allowance for foster parents and passed a decision on the introduction of a 14th month pension - after all that we will have none of the demands and blackmail by the Ukrainian president. It is high time those in Brussels understood what they spend their money on," Orban said.
Szijjarto: European taxpayers' money must not be used to finance 'corrupt Ukrainian war mafia'
Not a single euro of European taxpayers' money should be sent to Ukraine in the future, as "there is a good chance that it will go to finance a war mafia, a corrupt network," Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said.
"A terrible war psychosis in Brussels permeates Europe," Szijjarto said in a ministry statement after meeting Bulgarian President Rumen Radev in Sofia, adding that many Western political leaders were clearly working to "push Europe into war and siphon European people's money to Ukraine".
"We see that European people's money has been flowing unchecked into Ukraine. And we see that this money may have been spent to finance a war mafia. No wonder no one in Europe has seen a single credible account of how the money sent by the people to Ukraine has been spent," he said.
"The dominoes of corruption have fallen in Ukraine around the Ukrainian president," he said, adding that more and more European politicians were speaking out with "common sense and representing an anti-war position".
"We agreed with the President of Bulgaria that peace efforts must be supported and a negotiated solution must be supported, because this war will never end on the battlefield," he said.
"The solution can only come through diplomatic efforts; it can only be achieved at the negotiating table. So Hungary remains ready to host the peace summit and continues to support [US President] Donald Trump's efforts," he concluded.
