Watch: First Wave of Acts Announced for Revamped Sziget Festival in Budapest
The highlights of next year's Sziget Fesztival to be held between August 11-15 will include Twenty One Pilots, Florence + The Machine, SOMBR as well as Lewis Capaldi, organisers said in statement.

According to the statement, next year's festival will target audiences with different tastes and from different age groups through a colourful programme presenting more genres than before.

Despite earlier difficulties in preparations for the event, some 40 performers have now been engaged for 2026, it added.

The statement quoted Károly Gerendai, who is again the chief organiser of the event, as saying that Sziget was special in that it offered "a variety of non-musical programmes, unique spectacles and high quality services for holiday makers ... what we offer is different from the customary model."

Among the performers already engaged are also Tomora, a new musical project by Tom Rowlands and Norwegian singer Aurora, Dijon, an American "multiinstrumentalist", as well as Scottish rock band Biffy Clyro.

“Despite a slow start with booking, it seems we’ve already caught up. We were concerned that during the forced hiatus some artists we had been in talks with might have been wooed elsewhere, but it’s clear that Sziget remains so important to them that many have kept the dates pencilled in,” said Károly Gerendai,  Sziget’s returning owner.
