SopronFest Kicks Off Festival Season in Hungary
Festival goers can enjoy over fifty music events, featuring concerts by international superstars and popular Hungarian artists, as well as high-energy DJ sets, from June 6 to 8.

On the Main Stage There'll be performances by Parov Stelar, Timmy Trumpet, Worakls, DESH, Majka, Halott Pénz, Dzsúdló, and Ákos.

During the warm-up week, the entire city of Sopron comes alive with hundreds of events across 75 venues — including free concerts, literary talks, walking tours, a Podcast Fest, and culinary experiences.

The festival’s main venue in Lővérek will feature two main stages hosting both Hungarian and international stars. Main Stage will open with Anima Sound System, celebrating the 30th anniversary of their iconic album Shalom!.

L.L. Junior will take the stage with a live band, followed by DESH, and then Austrian favorite Parov Stelar, who will bring his signature fusion of jazz, house, swing, and electronic music to ignite the crowd.

On June 7, following performances by Manuel, Dzsúdló, and Majka, world-renowned “trumpeter DJ” Timmy Trumpet will headline — a much-anticipated act at some of the world’s biggest festivals.

The closing day will feature concerts by ValMar, Ákos, and Halott Pénz, with a finale by Worakls, one of the leading figures of the new wave of melodic French electronic music.

This Year’s Theme at SopronFest is Happiness

Many of the events and guest performers will explore what happiness means to different people, and how to find and maintain this state in various aspects of life.

The Boldogság Nagyszínpad (“Happiness Main Stage”) will host a diverse lineup including Bohemian Betyars, Pogány Induló, Parno Graszt, bëlga, Charlie, Carson Coma, hiperkarma, TNT, T. Danny, and Earth, Wind & Fire Experience by Al McKay. The popular Necc Party crew will also make an appearance.

At the Telekom Secret Garden, late-night parties will feature Dub FX, Analog Balaton, Sisi, Lil Frakk, Co Lee, Hundred Sins, K-OSZ Disco, and Bladerunnaz.

Urban themes are at the heart of SopronFest — starting May 29, the city will buzz with extra life, offering unique programs in streets, squares, clubs, cafés, and restaurants.

Highlights on the historic Várkerület promenade include free concerts by Budapest Bár, Kaláka, and Halász Judit.

Zoli Beck will share the stage with Krisztián Grecsó, while the Be Massive collective teams up with Sopron’s Secret Fusion. On the festival’s unofficial opening day, June 5, Sopron will host Telekom’s own festival.

Taking place at the former Sopron Sports Center, the event pays tribute to the spirit of the 1993 Volt Festival, with a headline performance by iconic rock band Tankcsapda.

At the Kultúrpresszó Terrace, visitors can enjoy daily jazz concerts curated by the Hungarian Jazz Association and Müpa. Featured acts include Dilladelphia, the Gábor Kollmann Trio, and the Helga Jazz Duo.

Járai Márk, vocalist of Halott Pénz, will also present a special evening dedicated to legendary Hungarian songwriter Tamás Cseh.
