Located on the Buda side of the Danube within the Kimpton BEM Budapest, AGOS Restaurant celebrated its first anniversary with an exclusive media lunch, showcasing a curated selection of its signature dishes from the past year.

The event was hosted by Executive Chef Attila Fehér and Pastry Chef Frank Nógrádi, who guided guests through a journey of Mediterranean flavours interpreted with Hungarian creativity – refined, imaginative, and deeply personal, true to the Kimpton spirit.

Within just one year, AGOS Restaurant has become one of Budapest’s most talked-about culinary destinations.

The Gault & Millau restaurant guide has recognised AGOS with two toques, placing it among the city’s finest restaurants.

This achievement, earned within the first year of operation, reflects the team’s dedication and the restaurant’s ability to transform fine dining into an experience that is approachable yet sophisticated, playful yet precise.

AGOS is housed inside Kimpton BEM Budapest, a design-forward boutique hotel on the historic Buda side of the city, along the banks of the Danube.

The hotel was envisioned by Marcel Wanders, the world-renowned Dutch designer celebrated for blending modern elegance with cultural storytelling. His creative vision continues throughout the restaurant’s interior – a space where design and gastronomy exist in perfect harmony.

Under the leadership of Executive Chef Attila Fehér, AGOS offers a modern Mediterranean menu built on local ingredients and global techniques, while Pastry Chef Frank Nógrádi’s desserts balance sophistication with playfulness.

Among guest favourites are the signature Angus Beef Tatar, the Venison Wellington, and the re-imagined Black Forest dessert, each dish a reflection of the restaurant’s philosophy: flavour with soul, artistry with warmth.

After one inspiring year, AGOS Restaurant stands not just as a place to dine but as a meeting point where Budapest’s rhythm, design, and culinary passion come together on the plate.
