'Tisza Spy Scandal' Proves Preparations for a Pro-Ukraine 'Agent Govt', Claims Hidvégi
A new case of collusion graver than ever before has come to light with the eruption of the Tisza spy agent scandal, "which clearly proves that preparations are under way" for a pro-Ukraine "agent government", the parliamentary state secretary of the Prime Minister's Office said on Tuesday.

Hidveghi said in a video uploaded to Facebook that a government was being readied that instead of serving the interests of the Hungarian people would cater to the demands of Ukraine and Brussels.

"We already knew that Tisza and Ukraine were colluding to the detriment of Hungarians," he said.

It had become clear that Tisza leader Peter Magyar "is being assisted by agents linked to foreign intelligence services," he insisted. Referring to a leaked audio recording, he said Tisza, in cooperation with a spy posing as a journalist, was "working to assemble a pro-Ukrainian government".

Such a government would be unable to refuse involvement in the war or to refuse to give Hungarians' money to Ukraine, he added.

He declared: "We must not allow Brussels and [Ukrainian President] Zelensky to form a government!"

Meanwhile, Szijjarto Says: 'Let those willing to pay three times today's utility prices talk about Russians, spies'

Today's utility price cut scheme is in place thanks to the cheap Russian energy resources negotiated by the government, Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said on Tuesday, adding: "Let those ready to pay three times today's utility prices talk about Russians and spies."

Speaking at a public forum in Mako, in southeast Hungary, the minister said that Hungary has seen five crises in sixteen tough years.

"The European financial system collapsed. Migrants flooded in. There was a global pandemic. A war has been raging next door for four years. And now, on top of that, the war in Iran has broken out, blocking twenty percent of the world’s oil consumption," he said.

"Hungary's performance was outstanding, despite all these crises. One million more people are working than when we took office, and Hungary has the lowest taxes in Europe," he said.

"And let me say something here to those talking about Russians and spies. My friends, the fact is that if I hadn’t negotiated the import of Russian oil and Russian gas into Hungary for you, you’d be paying three times as much for utilities. So ... come forward and say you’re willing to pay three times as much for gas and electricity, and then you can shout," he said.

Meanwhile, Hungary not only has the lowest taxes in Europe but also the lowest utility costs; the 13th and 14th monthly pensions have been introduced, along with a "world-class" family support system that many countries are watching with bated breath, Szijjarto said.

He said those achievements should not be put at risk at the upcoming election, adding that inexperienced leaders would "cause enormous trouble" at a time when "the world order is extremely complex".

He said experience, personal relationships and predictability were crucial at this junction. Hungary was only "safe" if it maintained good relations with "the four global power centers shaping our lives," he said. "And currently, only one Hungarian political leader is capable of doing that."

"If we win the rural constituencies, we win the election, and then you can be sure that Hungary will not go to war, we will not give the Hungarian people’s money to Ukraine, and the Ukrainians will not join the European Union,"
 he summarised.

Orban: 'Watch out, Hungarians! Ukrainian agents are at the door'

"Ukrainian agents are already at the door. Let's not let them in," Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on Facebook on Tuesday.

Orban insisted that "Ukrainian agents come and go in the [opposition] Tisza Party; they are developing their online mobilisation network. They are eavesdropping on our foreign minister."

He added that Ukrainian agents were pulling out all the stops to install a pro-Ukrainian government in Hungary.

"They would drag us into their war and take the Hungarians' money. Let's not let them," Orban said, inviting Hungarians to a rally in Nagykanizsa, in southwest Hungary, later in the day.

It is "unacceptable and shameful" that intelligence agencies are targeting the government to boost the opposition Tisza Party, Prime Minister Viktor Orban declared at the governing parties' election rally in Kecskemet, in central Hungary, on Monday.

Orban said it was "disgraceful and unacceptable" that the foreign minister had been wiretapped, and vowed retribution.

The prime minister cast the election as a "crossroads", saying Europe was preparing for war, Ukraine wanted European Union membership, "and they demand that Hungary ditch cheap Russian energy, send weapons to Ukraine and join the pro-war countries."

Addressing supporters, he warned: "You will decide whether Hungary will have a patriotic government or a pro-Ukraine one backed by Brussels."

"Hungary will not be blackmailed or humiliated," Orban said, urging a "historic victory" for the "tough decisions ahead".

The pro-government Civil Union Forum (CÖF) and its associated Civil Union Foundation (CÖKA) have officially announced a "Peace March" (Békemenet) to be held on the March 15 national holiday. The organization’s leader, László Csizmadia, confirmed on Tuesday that the police have been notified of the plans for the demonstration, which traditionally draws hundreds of thousands of supporters of the Orbán administration.
