Hungary's state of emergency, first declared in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic and later in 2022 over the Russia-Ukraine war, has officially ended after six years.
The National Asset Recovery and Protection Office will be "one of the most important institutions of the 2026 change of regime", Prime Minister Peter Magyar told the inaugural session of parliament on Saturday.
"I will not rule Hungary; I will serve my country," Prime Minister Peter Magyar declared after his election at the inaugural session of parliament on Saturday.
Prime minister-elect Peter Magyar will name his new candidate for Justice Minister on Friday, after Marton Mellethei-Barna withdrew from the nomination.
