Deputies rejected the amendment with five votes in favour, three against and nineteen abstentions.

At the same time, the assembly supported a proposal by Fidesz-KDNP group leader Anna Szepesfalvy, asking mayor Gergely Karacsony to convene an extraordinary session to renegotiate taxi fares as soon as the motor fuel price caps are phased out and fuel prices exceed the level of protected prices.
