Compensation Paid by Wizz Air to 66,000 Passengers Over Deceptive Wizz Flex Practices
The Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH) said on Wednesday that low-fare carrier Wizz Air fulfilled commitments it made after a probe launched in 2019, but was fined HUF 5m because of delays in submitting certain certificates.

GVH earlier found a number of deceptive practices related to the company's Wizz Flex flight ticket supplement service, for which Wizz Air provided 66,000 passengers HUF 290m of compensations.

Funds not used by eligible passengers were transferred to a charity organisation.
