'National Tisza Island' Gathering to be Held in Budapest on August 20th
Prime Minister Peter Magyar announced on Tuesday that a national Tisza Island gathering will be held in Budapest on August 20.

Responding to a pre-agenda speech by Tisza MP Kriszta Bodis and referring to Fidesz and Christian Democrat MPs, Magyar said he was grateful that Bodis had endured the immense slander, "vile, disgusting, inhuman accusations" levelled at her by people who now, "as good Pharisees", were demanding accountability from Tisza for its tone.

"Thank you for enduring all these accusations as a mother, a woman, and a human being," he added. He called on Fidesz MPs to apologise for the "slander campaign" against Bodis, which had been conducted using the public purse.

Magyar also thanked the Tisza community for standing by Bodis and setting an example of humanity for more than two years.

"I thank our entire community, and I send this message to every Tisza supporter, every Tisza Island: we will meet in Budapest on August 20 at a big national gathering," he said.
