Jerry joined AVN Europe after three successful years running his own management consultancy business. In his position with AVN, Halford oversees all aspects of the business with particular attention on customer needs and relations. His experience in selecting a dynamic team, attention to detail and focus on impartiality has been critical to its success as 'The Adult Industry Standard' for Europe.

After managing five radio stations across Brittan and Europe, Halford settled in Hungary to turn around the fortunes of the once #1 station in Budapest, Bridge FM. Halford says he is a regular contributor to local Budapest newspapers, magazines, and he regularly appears on national TV.

1. When did you arrive in Hungary and what brought you here?
In 2001 for a 2 day consulting assignment with Radio Bridge, got extended to 2 weeks, then 2 months, then 2 years. the company was sold and I stayed on.

2. Have you ever been an expatriate elsewhere?
Never really lived as a resident although I spend 6 months living in the USA during the early 80`s

3. What surprised you most about Hungary?
The abundance of beautiful women! Like all I fell for one and we are very happy.

4. Friends are in Budapest for a weekend - what must they absolutely see and do?
Everything except flagging down a taxi, never trust them, All strip bars except the 4play lounge are dangerous.

5. What is your favourite Hungarian food?
Rakot Krumpli - its the closest thing to an English breakfast all in one dish.

6. What is never missing from your refrigerator?
Cool crisp white and rose wine

7.What is your favourite Hungarian word?
Paradicsom - just sounds better that tomato

8. What do you miss most from home?
Trust

9. What career other than yours would you love to pursue?
To be a racing driver - had 5 great years in the Clio cup but felt I was to old to compete with 17 year olds...fear factor

10. What's a job you would definitely never want?
Anything to do with death

11. Where did you spend your last vacation?
I spend a lot of time in the USA and it always feels like a holiday

12. Where do you hope to spend your next holiday?
With my family enjoying our new house

13. What was your favourite band, film, or hobby as a teen?
James Bond - who doesn't enjoy a bit of James bond, and still do.

14. What can't you resist?
Naked women find them all fascinating and different

15. Red wine or white?
Both - depends on the time of day and the food

16. Book or movie?
Was movies now books

17. Morning person or night person?
Morning and will stay out till the morning too!

18. Which social issue do you feel most strongly about?
Corruption being forced on the people. Lower taxes and people won't cheat. They are saying that 100% of Hungarians are cheats, in reality only 10% would be and everybody else would like to be straight but can't under the current taxations laws. Government chase the 10% it's easier than 100%. Put the trust back in the people you love and represent.

Pest its the action side and public transport is so much better Pest side

20. What would you say is your personal motto?
"Fuckem or be fucked"
