- 30 May 2011 12:00 PM

Milos was transferred to Dallas and I was stuck, as most ex-pat wives, searching for my new beginning. I found my new calling in Dallas with Medical Staffing and really found my dream job. Not long after adjusting to this dream job, to my "surprise", Milos got a new job in Chicago with InterContinental and there I was ... searching for a new beginning, AGAIN. I decided a career was going to be a difficult thing to create as his pace of movement. I ran to my school and got a job running one of the research departments that was funded by Chicago and would last a year.
Then we moved to Budapest and here I am ... An Ex-pat wife & full time mom of two ... waiting for our next "new beginning."
1. When did you arrive in Hungary and what brought you here?
December 28th 2008 My husband, Milos Cerovic, was transferred to InterContinental Budapest from InterContinental Chicago.
2. Have you ever been an expatriate elsewhere?
Yes. Dubai, UAE. We began our expat life in Dubai in 2005 both working for the Hotel Industry. I was a Convention Services Executive at Park Hyatt Dubai. I also got engaged and married while there.

The beauty, the number of parks and kid friendly places/activities, the large expat community, and the fact the goulash is not suppose to be thick ... I mean ... have I been making it wrong all these years!?!?!?
4. Friends are in Budapest for a weekend - what must they absolutely see and do?
There are obviously so many things to see but for once I would say ... Forget about a schedule ... enjoy the fresh air from a cafe at the Castle district and enjoy the view while sipping on a glass of wine! "0" tolerance here so ... walk or take a cab ;))

8. What do you miss the most from home?
Convenient PARKING EVERYWHERE and ... the large TUMBLE dryers!!! Now I know why people purchase smaller towels here and iron everything ...
