Xpat Interview: Christopher S Ford
I was born in London and grew up outside New York. I am the youngest of 6 children. I went to Connecticut College and studied International Politics, but I loved working construction in the summers and knew that it was my passion.

I came to Hungary in 1999 to visit my sister and run the Budapest Marathon. She suggested that I work with property here, so I started a property development company that buys, renovates and sells or rents high-end apartments and houses in Budapest. I met my wife doing my first apartment renovation and I married her in 2006. Since then, we have had three children.

Last year, I have also started a real estate agency that focuses on luxury real estate in Budapest. I love Hungary and the life we have here.
