Across the four days, visitors can discover more than 1,000 varieties of wine and sparkling wine, explore international wine regions, enjoy interactive programmes and concerts, and sample a wide range of culinary experiences.

Hungarian wine remains at the heart of the festival, while this year’s international focus gives visitors an opportunity to explore wine regions across the Americas.

Visitors can embark on a “journey” of more than 10,000 kilometres, from the sun-drenched vineyards of California to high-altitude vineyards in the Andes. The journey also takes in Uruguay’s Atlantic-influenced wine-growing regions and Brazil’s sparkling-wine-producing areas.

In front of the Hungarian Wine Academy stand, visitors can attend presentations focusing on responsible and cultured wine consumption.

The event will also feature the country’s winemakers of the year.

Wineries that performed particularly well at the VinAgora International Wine Competition will have the opportunity to present themselves at the “Halászó gyerekek” Terrace, at the VinAgora Discoveries stand.

Music will provide an important part of the evening entertainment. At the MVM Stage, jazz, blues, folk and pop will alternate throughout the evening, followed by late-night parties. 

In the Csikós Courtyard, the Jazzy Stage will offer a setting suited to an evening of wine tasting. Winemakers will also introduce their wines and wine regions through guided tastings at this venue.

At the Nébih Wine Quiz Bar, visitors can test their wine knowledge through quizzes, tastings and wine-aroma identification challenges, along with skill games, a throwing wall and a prize wheel. The VinAgora Wine Casino by Taste & Play will also offer a range of wine-themed games.

The Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta and the Budapest Wine Festival have been raising funds to support people in need for nearly three decades. This year, proceeds from the festival’s charity wine auction will support the charity’s craft workshops.
