1. When did you arrive in Hungary and what brought you here?
In November 2008 I moved here from Prague due to my job with ING real estate who posted me in Hungary.
2. Have you ever been an expatriate elsewhere?
This is my first expat mission, usually Westerners are sent abroad, its quite unique where I come from for a woman to be sent abroad on an international assigment.
3. What surprised you most about Hungary?
That I feel at home.
4. Friends are in Budapest for a weekend - what must they absolutely see and do?
Széchényi Spa. I also recommend visiting Villány to enjoy the great Hungarian wine there.
5. What is your favourite Hungarian food?
Kürtőskalács (A Hungarian pastry known as 'chimney cake' or 'stove cake'.)
6. What is never missing from your refrigerator?
Goose liver.
7.What is your favourite Hungarian word?
Kiváncsi vagyok (I’m curious/Let’s see) – sounds like the ring of a bell.
8. What do you miss most from home?
Nothing (see answer number 3:)
9. What career other than yours would you love to pursue?
The founder of an animal shelter.
10. What's a job you would definitely never want?
In politics.
11. Where did you spend your last vacation?
Africa, Uganda. I love Africa and was there 7 times already, in many different countries but never to Zimbabwe because of politics.
12. Where do you hope to spend your next holiday?
New-Zealand is a dream destination, I dearly hope it lives up to expectations.
13. What was your favourite band, film, or hobby as a teen?
Band: Beatles. Film: Flashdance. Hobby: playing the piano.
14. What can't you resist?
Dark (95%) chocolate.
15. Red wine or white?
Red – Cabarnet Sauvignon
16. Book or movie?
Movie
17. Morning person or night person?
Morning.
18. Which social issue do you feel most strongly about?
Human selfishness.
19. Buda or Pest side?
Budapest!

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
