João was born in a middle-size city in Brazil, Guaratinguetá, close to São Paulo.
João is currently studying Marketing and Business Management. João loves multicultural environments, exploring new things and learning as much he can from all of these great experiences!
1. When did you arrive in Hungary and what brought you here?
I arrived in Hungary about one week ago. Budapest used to be the centre of an empire, and nowadays Hungary is becoming one of the Eastern-European must-see countries. I think it’s the things like the place that I work that make Budapest special. I work at Bakelit Multi Art Centre and full of performances and show. The whole place is surrounded by such an energy. That is what brought me here.
2. Have you ever been an expatriate elsewhere?
I have lived for a few months in Chile, Canada and Scotland.
3. What surprised you most about Hungary?
The Hungarians. Especially the young generation, very excited and committed to their studies.
4. Friends are in Budapest for a weekend - what must they absolutely see and do?
Thermal Baths, Hero's Square and get lost in the countryside of Hungary.
5. What is your favourite Hungarian food?
I loved Goulash soup.
6. What is never missing from your refrigerator?
Hungarian Milk.
7. What is your favourite Hungarian word?
Sziasztok!
8. What do you miss the most from home?
The hot weather.
9. What career other than yours would you love to pursue?
Actually I don’t know, I really enjoy what I do.
10. What's a job you would definitely never want?
Financial ones, I am not so good with calculations.
11. Where did you spend your last vacation?
France.
12. Where do you hope to spend your next one?
Colombia.
13. What was your favourite band, film, or hobby as a teen?
Band: Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Film: The Hangover 1 and 2
Hobby: Playing Cards
14. Apart of temptation what can't you resist?
A glass of wine before sleeping.

Both.
18. Which social issue do you feel most strongly about?
The social inequality
