Mark Papp, a 36-year-old entrepreneur, is the visionary owner of Aum Thai Massage in Budapest, a luxurious salon renowned for offering the most qualified and professional original Thai massages in the city.

He says if someone is seeking an authentic Thai massage experience in Budapest, Aum Thai Massage is a top choice. in Pest.

Mark’s journey into this field is rooted in his deep passion for quality and authenticity, he explains. Having studied economics, he successfully built several small businesses in Budapest, primarily catering to tourists. However, his love for Thai culture and the healing arts led him to a more specialized path.

He has traveled to Thailand multiple times, immersing himself in the local culture and traditions of Thai massage. The secret behind the unparalleled quality at Aum Thai Massage lies in a strict selection process for masseurs, he says. Mark personally travels to Thailand to handpick each masseur, ensuring they meet his rigorous standards.

Mark only hires those who demonstrate exceptional skills, and he personally tests their abilities before bringing them to Budapest, he adds. This commitment to excellence ensures that Aum Thai Massage consistently offers a high-quality experience that is truly authentic and correct.

1. Where did you grow up?

I was born and raised in Budapest; I’m a true Budapest native. However, I’ve always loved to travel and have visited many places around the world.

2. If you could be an expat anywhere in the world, where would you choose?

There are many places where I could happily spend years, but if I had to choose one, it would probably be Bali.

3. What would you miss most if you moved away from Hungary?

My friends and my workplace.

4. Friends are in Budapest for a weekend - what must they absolutely see and do?

This really depends on the group, their number, age, nationality, and interests. But if I had to make a general suggestion, after the mandatory city sightseeing, I would recommend an escape room, and of course, I would suggest visiting our own Thai massage salon. My experience shows that the ruin pubs in Budapest also tend to enchant my visiting friends.

5. What is your favorite food?

Filet mignon steak with a very good wine.

6. What is your favorite sport / form of exercise?

I love tennis, but I also really enjoy cycling - I ride every day.

7. What is your favorite place in Hungary?

If it’s Hungary, then Budapest. I clearly love the capital the most, but there are other great places in the country, like Villány with its superb red wines or the Tisza Lake and its surroundings. And if it’s Lake Balaton, then Csopak is my favorite town.

8. What career other than yours would you love to pursue?

I’m interested in many things; for example, I’m very interested in medicine and law.

9. What’s a job you would definitely never want?

I’m not suited for monotonous work that lacks creativity or if I don’t see a concrete purpose in what I’m doing. I need variety and the opportunity to brainstorm and develop.

10. Where did you spend your last vacation?

Most recently, I was at Lake Balaton, if a two-day mini trip counts as a vacation. But in the traditional sense, my last vacation was in Greece.

11. Where do you hope to spend your next one?

I hope to visit Mexico in the near future; unfortunately, I haven’t been there yet.

12. What was your favorite band, film, or hobby as a teen?

In music, I mainly liked high-quality electronic music. My hobbies changed frequently, but as a teenager, I was mostly drawn to events, sound, and lighting technology. I can’t even remember the movies…

13. Apart from temptation what can’t you resist?

Mainly work… I love working, which surprises most of my friends. :)

14. Red wine or white?

Definitely red.

15. Book or movie?

I’m more of a movie person.

16. Morning person or night person?

Night. Mornings are not for me.

17. Which social issue do you feel most strongly about?

That’s a tough question. I’d say that I consider myself quite liberal on social issues. I believe in live and let live.

18. Buda or Pest side?

I prefer Pest, although there are many great things in Buda. Both, really.

19. Which achievement in your life are you most pleased about?

Probably that I was able to create and build several businesses from scratch, which have grown quite nicely over time.

20. What would you say is your personal motto?

The key to success is daily improvement.
