Budapest’s iconic Sziget Fest has revealed a major new round of performers for its 2026 edition, adding more than 40 acts across multiple genres and significantly strengthening what is already shaping up to be one of the summer’s most diverse festival programmes - as the video at the end shows.

One of the most distinctive winter events in Hungary returns this February: the Indoor Beer Festival will be held for the ninth time, and this year it moves to the grand halls of the New York Palace Hotel. The festival welcomes visitors on February 6 - 7.

The Taste of Transylvania gastronomic and cultural festival — already established in Romania’s Transylvania region — will be held in Hungary for the first time from 27–29 March. The venue is the Transylvanian section of the Open-Air Ethnographic Museum (Skanzen) in Szentendre.

In the white wine category, the 2024 Kéknyelű from Bálint Földi (Badacsony) took the top spot, while the 2021 Peregrina blend from Zelna Winery (Balatonfüred) was named the best red.
