1. Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Sárospatak, a charming town in Hungary. However, I often say I grew up in London because I spent my early twenties through my mid-thirties there, and those years were incredibly formative in shaping the person I am today.
2. If you could be an expat anywhere in the world, where would you choose?
Considering I am both British and Hungarian, I would likely choose to live in an English-speaking country with a peaceful and calm environment, where life feels balanced and enjoyable.
3. What would you miss most if you moved away from Hungary?
The thing I would miss most would be my parents. Being close to family is very important to me, and they are a constant source of support and inspiration.
4. Friends are in Budapest for a weekend – what must they absolutely see and do?
If friends visit Budapest for a weekend, I would recommend starting with a nice dinner at one of the city’s iconic restaurants, followed by a relaxing spa experience. Attending the Opera is a must for the cultural experience, and I would also suggest exploring the beautiful Hungarian countryside nearby.
5. What is your favourite food?
I absolutely love a good steak, cooked to perfection. It’s simple yet satisfying, and I always enjoy a well-prepared meal that highlights high-quality ingredients.
6. What is your favourite sport / form of exercise?
I really enjoy activities that let me be outdoors and active, such as running, swimming, or cycling. I find that exercising in nature is both refreshing and invigorating.
7. What is your favourite place in Hungary?
My favourite place in Hungary is definitely Sárospatak. It has a special place in my heart because it’s where I grew up, and it holds so many memories of my childhood and family.
8. What career other than yours would you love to pursue?
I have always been interested in construction engineering. That’s why I love opening and refurbishing venues — whether it was managing a historic place like Gundel or launching a new project such as the Radisson Collection.
9. What’s a job you would definitely never want?
I could never work in a factory or a highly repetitive job. I need variety, interaction with people, and work that keeps me mentally and physically engaged.
10. Where did you spend your last vacation?
My last vacation was in Egypt, where I enjoyed exploring the history, culture, and natural beauty of the country.
11. Where do you hope to spend your next one?
I hope to spend my next vacation in Madagascar, as I’m eager to experience its unique wildlife and stunning landscapes.
12. What was your favourite band, film, or hobby as a teen?
As a teenager, I enjoyed a wide variety of music, from pop to instrumental. I also loved Disney movies and the works of Richard Clayderman. Of course, there were also some classic Hungarian favourites that I grew up with, which I still appreciate today.
13. Apart from temptation, what can’t you resist?
I find it hard to resist good food, beautiful cars, and anything that offers an adrenaline rush. Experiences that combine excitement and enjoyment always catch my attention.
14. Red wine or white?
I tend to prefer white wine. It feels lighter, refreshing, and pairs beautifully with many dishes.
15. Book or movie?
I would choose a movie because I enjoy immersing myself in visual storytelling and experiencing a story unfold on screen.
16. Morning person or night person?
I am definitely a morning person. I love starting the day early, feeling productive, and enjoying the calm of the morning hours before the world gets busy.
17. Which social issue do you feel most strongly about?
I feel strongly about creating meaningful opportunities for people and fostering environments where talent, dedication, and hard work can truly thrive. Providing support and guidance to help others reach their potential is something I care deeply about.
18. Buda or Pest side?
I prefer Pest. I enjoy its vibrant energy, the bustling streets, and the cultural and social life it offers.
19. Which achievement in your life are you most pleased about?
Although leading Gundel and opening the Radisson Collection have been important professional milestones, nothing brings me more pride and joy than my two children Lilly & Benett.
20. What would you say is your personal motto?
My personal motto is: Work hard, play hard. I believe in taking action to achieve your goals rather than just talking about them. Dreaming is part of the journey, and through focus, dedication, and manifestation, you can become the person you aspire to be.
