1. What’s been happening at work and at home since your first Xpat Interview?
While at home my daughter was born and my wife graduated as an interior designer (in her 40s), at work - in short - we survived COVID-19. Since then, we have been passionately promoting a home office culture that should be supported by employers, provided they require the same level of performance…
2. On a scale of 1 to 10 how happy are you with your life now, and why?
In the summer of 2026, I rate it an optimistic 8. We still have a lot to do, a lot of catching up compared to our neighbours...
3. What’s the best party you’ve been to while in Hungary, and why?
A surprise birthday party organized by my family and more than 70 friends… I really had no clue at all. I still get goosebumps thinking about it!
4. What’s your favourite drink?
Mango juice.
5. What hidden talents do you have?
Playing the clarinet, and singing in a choir.
6. What was the most interesting travel trip you have ever taken?
A two-day jungle trip in Cuba right after a hurricane.
7. If you were given a wish that could come true, what would you ask for?
To see my grandchildren get married!
8. What’s the last book you read, and movie you watched?
A book on design gamification by József Zalavári and the movie Michael.
9. If someone wrote a biography about you, what would the title be?
The Early Adopter.
10. What is the perfect pizza toppings combination for you?
Mozzarella, prosciutto (or cured ham), honey, and nuts (Neapolitan style).
11. If you could trade places with any other person for a week, real or fictional, with whom would it be?
Michelangelo.
12. On a scale of 1 to 10 how unusual are you, and why?
8, because I do a lot of unusual things - like dancing all night without drinking alcohol or taking drugs.
I also love the opera, write and perform short poems, and enjoy joking around with serious people (like Bill Clinton in Budapest back in 2007). I am always questioning the status quo in any professional issues.
13. What’s the best website you’ve ever visited, and why?
IMDB, since it is a universally understood platform where people can express their feelings about the world by rating films.
14. Who do you admire the most, and why?
Jesus, for his smart answers.
15. What do you like best and least about living in Hungary?
We have the best food and a capital city rich in culture and science, but we are also the most pessimistic nation, and I don't really know why.
16. What has made the biggest impact on your life so far, and why?
Becoming a father and feeling true responsibility.
17. If you won USD 30 million, what would you do with the money?
Secure it, invest it, and donate the rest.
18. If your life had a theme song, what would it be?
"My Way" by Paul Anka.
19. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?
Hungary.
20. In ten years from now what will you be doing?
Writing books, giving lectures, and sharing wellness experiences.
