Art historian Mária Illyés, daughter of the late Gyula Illyés, has found a hitherto unknown novel by the writer when arranging his manuscripts. The handwritten text could have been written by her father between 1949 and 1956, Illyés said on Tuesday. A suitcase once belonged to Imre Nagy was handed over to Katalin Jánosi, Nagy's granddaughter and the Imre Nagy Foundation yesterday, in the presence of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. It has recently been obtained from Bosnia and Hercegovina and will be kept in the Imre Nagy Memorial House of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
