Balaton Sound, the 5-day non-stop music festival right on the beach of Lake Balaton, has revealed new names to perform at the major beach festival on 5-9 July, 2017 –in Zamárdi. Tiesto, Jason Derulo, Marshmello, Afrojack, R3HAB and many more are confirmed to the already announced names. Discounted tickets are available until 15 March, 2017.

Hungary’s police force achieved its primary goal of guaranteeing an adequate level of public safety last year, police chief Károly Papp said. The biggest challenge police faced in 2016 was dealing with illegal migration and the threat of terrorism, Papp told a press conference. He said police had registered a total of 278,263 crimes last year.

Applicants looking to take advantage of the government’s home purchase subsidy scheme signed contracts worth a record 9.6 billion forints (EUR 30.8m) in December, a state secretary for the prime minister’s cabinet office said. Altogether 36,000 applications have been received since the programme’s introduction in 2015, totalling 87 billion forints, Csaba Dömötör said.
