LMP will file a complaint against the MNB for violating banking secrets as information about a loan taken by a Magyar Nemzet journalist critical of the central bank has been made public without permission. The MNB said it is demanding a correction from Magyar Nemzet as the journalist’s personal loan, along with “his lack of information and assumed grievances” were behind the false allegations.

On September 27, 2012 he hired room 601 at the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus and spent Ft 140,000 for the night. On February 2, 2014 he spent more than Ft 150,000 for a room at the Budapest Hilton.

The European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) has launched an investigation against radical nationalist Jobbik MEP Béla Kovács and former MEP Csanád Szegedi on suspicion of abuse of funds and fraud, the news portal Origo reported. OLAF suspects that the MEPs abused funds available for employing interns and assistants. They had access to a monthly 21,000 euros for that purpose, Origo said.
