Tamás Welsz, the businessman who provided false Guinea-Bissau passports to disgraced former Socialist vice president Gábor Simon and others, died yesterday in a police car. The cause of death has not been established, but police officers in the car say that Welsz was gasping for air, and was visibly feeling ill, although he did not say anything.

“Vodafone Hungary has increased its 3G mobile internet coverage to 98.3%, reaffirming its leading role in mobile internet services,” the company’s chief executive Diego Massidda Announced Monday. He added that Vodafone’s broadband coverage was already exceptionally large in comparison to both Europe as well as the entirety of the Vodafone Group.

More than 60 people were treated in hospital in Zalaegerszeg, in west Hungary, on Saturday after suffering carbon monoxide poisoning at an ice skating rink. Twenty-nine children and two adults were immediately taken to hospital from the rink and 30 more were treated later in the afternoon, said Ingrid Nothoff.
