The Albanian Embassy and Hungarian dignitaries unveiled a statue of Mother Teresa in Budapest on Friday to mark Day of International Charity. “Mother Teresa lived an exemplary life, she faced up the horror of poverty and hopelessness and was dedicated to serving the needy,” Zoltán Pokorni, the mayor of District 12 where the statue was erected, told the ceremony.

Some 30 productions with more than 500 contributors at more than ten venues are featured in the week-long festival. In addition to Budapest, events are held in Gyöngyös, Pécs and Veszprém.
