Preparations have started in Budapest to build a new congress centre with a capacity of 4,000-5,000 people and the project is planned to be completed in four years, the government commissioner in charge of priority projects in Budapest said. Balázs Fürjes said that Budapest was lacking a modern congress centre that met 21st century requirements and a capacity of at least 4,000.

The Hungarian government will spend a 4.7 billion forints on the pavilion representing the country at the 2015 World Expo in Milan, government commissioner Géza Szőcs said on Tuesday. The planned pavilion will “powerfully present Hungary’s themes, and the design is appreciated by both the Italian press and architects,” he said.

The 10,000 square metre Olimpiai Park situated in district V just next to Kossuth tér will soon open the gates to a multifunctional urban meeting space, attractive for both visitors and residents.
