Nobel laureate Turkish writer Orhan Pamuk and the Visegrad Four group will be the guests of honour at the 24th International Book Festival in Budapest. Freedom House (FH) has ranked Hungary as a “free” democracy in its 2016 global report released on Wednesday. The human rights watchdog called populists and autocrats “the dual threat” to global democracy. The report for last year evaluated the state of freedom in 195 countries and 14 territories.
