One Of The Biggest Hybrid Bus Fleets In Europe Started To Operate In Budapest

Since 1 March 2015 twenty-eight brand new, diesel-powered hybrid buses are in operation in Budapest, and with that it is one of the largest diesel-electric bus fleets of Europe. In the framework of the vehicle stock development project launched as part of the programme of Mayor István Tarlós, hybrid buses are oprated along lines 5, 7, and 9 during all the week round since 1st March.

This MOL sponsored initiative by BKK allows registered customers to use over one thousand bicycles located around Budapest.
