You should know, that the Hungarian Government declared emergency situation in three counties (Győr-Moson-Sopron, Komárom-Esztergom and Pest County) and in Budapest as of 12.00 hours on 4 June 2013 due to flood risk. Inform yourself before going to these areas about traffic and other restrictions. Do not forget to inform the consular services of your Embassy about your presence in these areas.

Interest has almost doubled in Hungary and abroad as well. As result, there are only 1000 passes available for the public at the moment. The organizers would like to draw everyone’s attention to purchase tickets or passes only from official outlets.

City council yesterday approved new regulations for Budapest taxis, mandating black-and-yellow colours and modern amenities. Taxis should not be more than 10 years old, from September of next year but older taxis can remain in service until July 1, 2015, if they pass annual tests.
