In 2014 new means of transport appears in Budapest: people may pick up bicycles at any of the 75 new bicycle terminals, may ride them and then drop them at any terminal. The system will operate with cards and terminals will be at average 320 metres from each other offering total 1100 bicycles.

This EU co-funded project is being rolled-out right now, with a value of over one billion Hungarian Forints. This MOL sponsored initiative by BKK allows registered customers to use over one thousand bicycles located around Budapest. GPS-based tracking and security camera systems will be installed to protect bicycles and the docking stations.

The Fővám tér station of the new metro line has also received the completion certificate, issued by the National Transport Authority, which was essential in order to start test runs with passengers. This is the ninth station ready to receive passengers. A new subway was built for the station, and a section of the square has been relieved of the traffic between the university and the Danube.

Due to the popularity of the last Pilis hike and the sheer enjoyment of crossing streams, sloshing along muddy paths, and clumping up steep embankments, we’ve decided to go back, this time taking a different route (yet to be decided). We will possibly end up at the same restaurant Kis Rigo, in any case it's a 10 am start on Sunday from Batthany tér HEV downstairs at the ticket office.
