According to pestbuda.hu, the seventh bridge of Budapest was inaugurated 80 years ago, on the 12th of September, 1937. The bridge connecting South Buda and South Pest was originally called Horthy Miklós Bridge, but it was renamed to Petőfi Bridge after WWII. The construction of the bridge was necessary due to the dynamic development of Budapest.

Dentists in Hungary’s public health care have decided to restrict their services to emergency procedures on Monday to protest against insufficient government financing, daily Népszava reported. According to the paper, some 700 dentists out of 2,800 practices across the country have joined the action.
