Fifteen-year-old Hungarian cellist Gergely Devich has won third prize in the Eurovision Young Musicians 2014 competition held in Cologne. Devich performed Allegro appassionato by Saint-Saens in the final on Saturday.

Budapest’s Palace of Arts will celebrate poetry day with a performance of Shakespeare’s sonnets set to music on Friday. The group W. H. was formed in 2009 by cellist and composer Albert Markos with the aim of placing the sonnets and songs of William Shakespeare in a modern musical context.
