Xploring Budapest: Cave Church

Located on Gellert Hill overlooking Liberty Bridge, the Cave Church is a unique grotto chapel cared for by the Hungarian Paulite order of monks. Closed during the Communist period, it has since been reopened and offers a peaceful respite from the noise of the city. This cave was originally home to Saint Istvan, a hermit monk who cured the sick with thermal waters that sprung in front of the cave.

Hungarian embassies are soon to open in Mongolia and Ecuador and existing embassies in Cyprus and Estonia will close, foreign affairs spokeswoman Anna Nagy said. The embassies in Ulan Bator and Quito will open on January 1, 2015.
June Budget Deficit In Hungary Lowest In 12 Years

The budget deficit reached Ft 813.7 billion in the first half, equivalent to 82.6% of the year-end target, the Economy Ministry announced. The budget deficit was Ft 132 billion last month, the lowest June figure since 2002.
