Chips Tax Revenue In Hungary Reaches Ft 15bn

The tax on foods deemed unhealthy brought in Ft 15 billion as of July 31 following its launch in September last year, the tax and customs authority NAV announced. A total of Ft 1.7 billion was collected in July and Ft 1.8 billion in June. The 2012 revenue target is Ft 20 billion. The tax generated Ft 4.7 billion last year, falling short of the Ft 5 billion target.
