TAP Portugal is suspending its Budapest flights in April, an airline representative said in daily Magyar Hírlap. Péter Szolnok told the paper that the airline came under new management last year and the strategy they adopted involves scrapping a number of flights, such as ones to Bucharest, Goteborg, Hannover and Zagreb.

Those leaving the country must transfer at a station near the border, and passport checks that can weed out refugees are expected at those border stations.

Only euros and Croatian kuna will be accepted by motorway toll booths in Croatia from June 1, the Rijeka daily Novi List reports, citing a decision by Croatian motorway company HAC made at the end of April. As a result no Hungarian forint can be used any more. Bank cards will be accepted.
