Since 1 March 2015 twenty-eight brand new, diesel-powered hybrid buses are in operation in Budapest, and with that it is one of the largest diesel-electric bus fleets of Europe. In the framework of the vehicle stock development project launched as part of the programme of Mayor István Tarlós, hybrid buses are oprated along lines 5, 7, and 9 during all the week round since 1st March.

Mobile data traffic in Hungary rose by an annual 35% in the fourth quarter, lifted by infrastructural developments and the growing number of smartphones, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said. In absolute terms, mobile data traffic reached 9,135 terabytes in the last quarter of 2014, still a fraction of the 274,428 terabytes of downloads and 146,849 terabytes of uploads using fixed lines.
