Pál Völner, state secretary at the development ministry, told a conference that the emphasis of vehicle renewal would be placed on public transport by road since the rail network only reached 26% of the country’s cities and towns.

At the campaign opening, marking Earth Day, state secretary Pál Völner said the government was paying heightened attention to cycling, which is demonstrated by 500 kilometres of bicycle paths constructed or renewed over the past four years.
