The Embassy of Ireland, in cooperation with the Széchenyi Academy of Letters and Arts, is organising a screening of In the Name of Peace: John Hume in America. The documentary film, directed and produced by Maurice Fitzpatrick, looks at Nobel Laureate John Hume’s successful pursuit of peace in Northern Ireland through his co-operation with senior politicians in the United States.

Addressing the LIBE hearing, representatives of Hungarian rights groups criticised Hungary’s government for restricting fundamental rights. The office building valued at EUR 90 million and equipped with the latest environmentally friendly technologies is expected to be handed over by the end of 2018 in Budapest.
