Authorities seized 417 kilos of drugs from a Dutch van at the Röszke border crossing with Serbia, the tax office said. The 410 packs of illicit drug, believed to be marijuana, was discovered in a secret compartment of the vehicle’s trailer.

Hungarian police have released footage of a foreign driver accelerating past 330kph (205mph) in his Lamborghini Huracan on Hungary’s M7 motorway last September. Although thankfully no fatalities resulted from the crash, the 36-year-old driver of the foreign-registered car faces charges of reckless driving and endangerment and his passenger suffered serious injuries.

From February on, the new county e-stickers will be valid until the first exit in the neighbouring county, saving drivers from having to pay the toll for both counties, state secretary János Fónagy announced. He also spoke about other changes as the government searching for ways to fine-tune the new county-based road toll system, introduced at the start of this year.
