Bill Would 'Drastically' Devalue Farmland, Says Hungarian Opposition

Bills submitted to parliament recently that would amend laws on competitiveness in the agriculture sector and the sale of farmland would drastically devalue the assets of some 1.5 million landowners, a Socialist Party leader told a press conference over the weekend.

There are 11 bank holidays, and several extra ‘rest days’ in Hungary this year. As you can see from the easy to read lists below, instead of having one free day in the middle of the work week, Hungarians usually prefer to have long weekends in exchange for a Saturday that would otherwise be a ‘rest day’.

Twenty-seven ethnic groups from twelve countries participated in the Kurultáj Tribal Assembly of the Hun-Turkic Peoples, a biannual meeting of peoples of nomadic origin from the Central Asian steppe held in Bugac, in south-central Hungary.
