The Capital Court of Appeals has ordered HírTV to broadcast a correction in the matter of the plagiarism charge related to former prime minister Ferenc Gyurcsány. The court ruled that HírTV created the false impression in its “Célpont” programme aired on May 4, 2012 that Gyurcsány had received a university degree despite failing to meet his teaching practice duties.

A court last June 12 sentenced the 42-year-old defendant to an 18-month prison term, suspended for three years, and ordered him placed under supervision of a probation officer.
